What is it about?
The COVID-19 pandemic accelerated remote work adoption, creating significant security challenges as organizational boundaries dissolved. This research identifies five key security governance challenges in remote work environments: endpoint security, network boundary dissolution, shadow IT proliferation, compliance verification, and security culture maintenance. This research propose an integrated governance model featuring risk-adaptive policies, distributed accountability, continuous verification mechanisms, human-centric controls, and adaptive security culture programs. These approaches help organizations maintain robust security while supporting productive remote work models.
