Why is it important?

managers frequently find that following a radical management restructuring, they are responsible for a broader range of services, including those they have no experience or expertise in. In this uncomfortable and uncertain business environment, to be effective they will need to demonstrate agile leadership.

Perspectives

I write from personal experience as a former director in a directorate with over 500 managers. After cutting 1 in 5 management posts all senior and middle managers found themselfes responsible for a broader range of services.
