What is it about?
Following a slow start, UK professions are increasingly using Higher and Degree Apprenticeships as pathways to fully-qualified level. Apprenticeships can be particularly effective as entry- and progression-routes, and can widen access to professional careers particularly for people already in the workforce. They do however need to be carefully designed and implemented, and backed by appropriate and consistent policies.
