Why is it important?

Apart from empirically confirming the significant positive relationship between EDOs and university students ’ enhanced employability, the study also tries to establish the relative contribution of each of these EDOs, which is a major contribution to the limited existing body of knowledge on university students ’ employability.

Perspectives

This article, in my perspective proves to be unique in every way. Firstly, in the context of competitive pressures and congested labour market, the article proves to be a useful guide for undergraduates, their parents and university education providers. It clearly spells out the institutional strategies that will ensure competitive and positional advantage for student in the labour market upon graduation. And, this is the more reason why it is written in a simple language i.e. to attract the attention of all stakeholders in university education. Secondly, since there is limited empirical research on EDOs (especially in Nigeria), the article is a good reference point for other researchers in the field of employability generally and particularly in Nigeria .
