The paper uncovers how the performance of various access systems, triggered by timely quality checks influences the occupancy, comfort and retention of tenants in office buildings. the observations of this paper indicate how quality checks of facilities, tenant complaints responses and the inclusivity of the service provision as fundamental to tenant retention.

Why is it important?
We employ a variety of data collection strategies, especially the walk-along strategy to accommodate data collection from respondents who are present at their workplaces.
Perspectives
For my co-author and I, this article created an opportunity for us to engage in a rare area of research and segment of property and facilities management in the context of sub-Saharan Africa. Following up on the quality assurance checks and linking it with the comfort of occupants was a rare combination prior to this study.
