What is it about?
Looks into the role standards play in research (particular in building research). Exemplify how researchers, research organisations and standardisation bodies can collaborate to enable a sustainable and digital transformation of the built environment. Developes a framework for analysing the way standards are used in research and way to position own research when research connects to standards. Connects to the knowledge triangle which sees education, research, and practice/innovation as a key element for developing knowledge, skills, practices, and theories/models for facility/facilities management (FM). Call for theory developments around standards (particularity the ISO 41000-series) and for greater collaboration between researchers and standardisation experts.
