What is it about?

Can open courses and massive open online courses (MOOCs) be used by industry and business as professional development for their staff? The study investigate if human resource experts saw any obstacles in the openness. It also discuss trust among different kind of companies.

Why is it important?

Free and open training, possible to combine with other duties, is very interesting for many companies. The competence to manage your own professional development is more and more important. Competence development as traditional 2 -day courses paid by HR department is not optimal in our networking society.

Perspectives

This article is focusing on the business and employee side of open courses as professional development.
