Perspectives

This introduces policy and practical aspects of the national minimum wage and its impact both in the United Kingdom and with international perspectives of the living wage. Writing this article was a great pleasure as it has co-authors with whom I have had long standing collaborations. This Editorial was co-edited with four research colleagues. Professor Ray Fells [University of Western Australia], Professor James Arrowsmith [Massey University], Professor Jane Parker [Massey University] and Dr Ana Lopes [Newcastle University] and the editorial introduces the Special Issue of Low Pay and the living wage research.
