Perspectives
This paper combined concepts from social capital theory and HRM devolution theory, and form an analytical lens to explore the HRM roles in self-contained tourist resorts in the Maldives. It found that human resources are managed in resorts through partnerships. Owners, senior, HR and line managers play a critical role in managing people.
