What is it about?

The traditional supervisory mentoring is often impacted by the dynamics of gender composition at workplace. We examine about the perceptions of Indian managers about the existing supervisory mentoring and its impact on career resilience, career identity and career planning of managers in the presence of gender composition. Our study revealed that in the Indian context joint effects of gender composition and supervisory career mentoring functions act as significant predictors of career identity and career planning. Supervisory psychosocial and career mentoring functions were also found to be significant predictors of career identity and career planning. Need for strengthening psychosocial mentoring among supervisors was also reported.
