What is it about?

Impostor syndrome, which refers to feelings of inadequacy that individuals experience and a fear that others will discover that they do not belong in the positions that they occupy, is often discussed. We find that the bigger issue in academia and other organizations is impostorization. Impostorization refers to the policies, practices, and seemingly harmless interactions in the environment that make or intend to make individuals question their intelligence, competence, and sense of belonging. This researches changes the narrative. The issue is perhaps not the individual as suggested by impostor syndrome, but the environment as suggested by impostorization.
