What is it about?
This paper presents a new way to look at workplace equity by examining 10 different job systems, such as job structure and hiring practices. Data from over 1,000 U.S. workplaces shows that less organizational pressure and more women and racial minorities in the workforce lead to fairer workplaces. A fairer workplace also means more resilience and less stress for employees. This research gives a fresh perspective on diversity and inclusion efforts, offering practical insights for leaders to improve workplace equity. It's a novel approach that helps understand and improve equity in various aspects of employment.
