Social learning, innovative adaptation and community resilience to disasters: the case of flash floods in Bangladesh

What is it about?

Social learning from disaster experience happened spontaneously but they usually remain unnoticed. We show, for the first time in the Bangladesh context, how local communities learn together from flood experience, and how they innovate and take coping and adaptation measures collectively to cope with flash-flood risks
