What is it about?
This paper presents a novel cascaded multilevel inverter topology having hybrid configuration. The topology's efficacy is assessed using two suggested asymmetric structural configurations. With this improved configuration of a level-doubling topology, more levels could be reached with the same amount of hardware, and the number of input DC sources could only be reduced to three. Additionally, it establishes a minimum switch variety, which facilitates stock management. In addition, a notable decrease in hardware and power loss is accomplished as compared to certain current topologies and basic ACHB. The total blocking voltage of a typical sub-multilevel strategy has been lowered in the suggested hybrid configuration of the half-bridge and sub-multilevel structures, whereas the efficiency of the proposed topology has also been increased. Thus well suited for renewable energy sources integration with the grids.
