What is it about?

Many governments have banned or restricted trade in response to COVID. We analyse these measures and find that, although most targeted medical goods and are probably justifiable under existing international trade law, others were more questionable. We highlight how the global recourse to such extensive trade restrictions may impact on international business going forward.
