What is it about?

Considering the global warming, the renewable sources of electricity will have an increasing importance. However, most of these sources are intermittent; therefore the flexibility of the electrical grid is becoming a major issue that can be improved using smart nodes in the grid. Hot-core transformeds can be useful for designint low-cost high-power transformers in such nodes.
