What is it about?
System that cannot be measured cannot be controlled. Corporate governance is a system which is required to be controlled. This paper demonstrates that corporate governance is measurable and organization's can know that where their corporate governance stands and how it ca reach the maturity level.

Why is it important?
Frauds are still transpiring regardless of the availability of controls and codes of corporate governance. In current business environment mere compliance with the codes is not enough. Shareholders demand transparency and effectiveness in system. Corporate governance maturity can provide such a transparency, effectiveness and accountability. CGM can assist organisations in relaxing their goals and objectives and at the same time demonstrates the gaps within organisational performance.
Perspectives
This article is not only applicable to public listed companies but can also be applied to private companies. Moreover this paper can be guideline to develop the organisational governance maturity framework.
