This paper provides a novel perspective on the well-established link between human capital and financial performance by examining the contingency role of internal (club-level) governance mechanisms.

Perspectives

This paper is a quite satisfactory result to me because it is has been accepted in a high-quality journal as well as because my co-author is a prominent scholar in the field of professional football economics and governance.
