Public relations professionals identify leadership challenges, essential competencies and deficiencies among emerging leaders

What is it about?

This study involved qualitative research with emerging and senior leaders to identify the core competencies that are expected and lacking among young professionals. The study revealed the top ten competencies that are desired and lacking among emerging leaders as well as the most common leadership challenges they will be facing. Finally, participants discussed professional development needs to prepare emerging leaders to meet these exceptional demands.
