What is it about?

This paper is about a new process transformation methodology named as Business Process Rearrangement and Renaming (BPR2). Opposed to the current methods that have insignificant focus on mitigating the risk of failure in their redesign stage, BPR2 renovates the existing structure, leading to a higher chance of success.

Why is it important?

Name is the most communicated characteristic of any department; however, this most communicated characteristic of departments has always been the most neglected characteristic as well. For the first time in the literature, BPR2 provides a description on how to use the power of departmental names to promote the main process values expected from each department.

Perspectives

BPR2 is a breakthrough in Business Process Management. After two decades of complaint about failures in Business Process Re-engineering / Redesign techniques, BPR2 presents a non-destructive technique that focuses on minimizing the risk of failure from the very beginning.
