What is it about?
Cooking skills have been studied across the world as related to healthy eating habits. Men and people with low level of cooking knowledge are less confident in cooking at home. Few questionnaires to evaluate cooking skills are validated and none was found that was able to detect differences between gender and individuals’ level of cooking knowledge. We validated a Brazilian cooking skills and health-eating questionnaire, demonstrating its ability to detect differences between groups and will be useful to provide data for further interventions.
