Consumer egg and poultry handling Europe

What is it about?

Consumers purchase, store, and prepare eggs and poultry differently depending, in part, on the country. This can affect food safety and health issues. This study compared several European countries for their consumer practices related to eggs and poulty.

Why is it important?

Health and safety of consumers is critical. Handling eggs and poultry can affect food safety and health. Understanding consumer issues related to this topic is critical to develop food safety programs for consumers purchase, storage, and preparation of eggs.
