What is it about?

India is rapidly urbanizing. In this context the Indian construction sector needs to play a very crucial role. Due to a plethora of high-level systemic issues this is not happening. Using the Delphi technique this research identifies the grand challenges that Indian construction sector faces today.

Using the grand challenges approach this paper provides a set of high-level issues that need be addressed at the national level by various Indian construction sector stakeholders. It provides a research agenda for the researchers and a set of short-term and medium-term for industry to address.

Perspectives

The involvement of senior industry professionals in this study from various parts of India makes this study useful for researchers and industry practitioners.
