What is it about?

The Department of Architecture at Menofia University explored the integration of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into architectural education through a 2023 graduation project. The paper used a mixed design strategy involving qualitative and quantitative techniques. The results showed that students' understanding of the SDGs improved, with gender equality and economic empowerment being key. Challenges included limited resources, time constraints, and misunderstandings among students and staff. The initiative contributed to sustainable urban development but requires careful preparation. The authors advocate for increased awareness and education among stakeholders and suggest future research to assess long-term effects on students' mindsets and practices.
