What is it about?
To improve the effectiveness of entrepreneurship education and training interventions aimed at the youth, we wanted to uncover the personal characteristics and contextual factors fostering young people's intention to start their own business.

Why is it important?
It is important to know which personal and contextual characteristics are associated with youth entrepreneurial intentions so that educators and policymakers can focus on them in their interventions.
Perspectives
Among other things, it was interesting to see how young South Africans distinguish between role models that inspire them and role models that give them guidance, and between the support from close family members and the support received from their extended family.
