What is it about?

Building on the intuitive relationship between judgement and wisdom, we explore how professional judgement in an accounting context relates to Aristotelian practical wisdom, with reference to the accounting failure at Carillion plc. We identify similarities and differences and provide a reconceptualisation of professional judgement as an ethical concept, with implications for both theory and practice.
