What is it about?
The purpose of this paper is to investigate stakeholder engagement approach, level, rationale and implications for corporate social responsibility (CSR) management and governance.
Why is it important?
The analysis suggests that entirely discretionary stakeholder engagement may reduce its CSR developmental impact and sustainability. To avert this, especially in developing countries, the paper suggests a framework to increase informed and balanced participation of relevant stakeholders and encourage a sustainable CSR practice.
