What is it about?

This paper examines the experience of an indigenous community (Gitga'at First Nation of British Columbia, Canada) negotiating multiple objectives, opportunities and risks surrounding tourism development. Central themes relate to: What aspects of local culture should be shared? What ecological areas and resources should be shown to visitors? Under what conditions? And what tourism models would best meet the community's goals?
