Economic efficiency of SME's innovative activity

What is it about?

This paper investigates the efficiency of SME's belonging to the same Industrial sector (Wood & furniture), regarding the use of inputs of innovative activity in relation to outputs, both expressed in Economic terms. Using DEA analysis we benchmark the innovative activity of SME's and highlight best SME's, which could constitute a best practise for these that want to improve their efficiency regarding innovation.

Why is it important?

This Research proposes a methodology for practioners, Policy makers and relevant stakeholders of SME's belonging to the same industrial sector, to measure the impact of their innovative activities to their Economic data and benchmark to best practises regarding inovation performance, proposing ways of improving their efficiency regarding the use of innovation inputs.
