What is it about?

Already in the 2010s, it became clear that information literacy and digital literacy mean different things to different groups of users, just like traditional library services, which depend on the type of the given library. This is especially true for the professional and amateur use of information that is similar to the differences between the needs of public library users and those of academic and special libraries. Public library users tend to be more interested in making use of information that is geared towards amateurs. This means that Web 2.0, (today better known as social media) and services based on it are more directly suitable for them. Academic and special library users require information that is highly reliable and authoritative, thus less compatible with this spirit, even though social media is also present in these libraries.
