Communication overload among academic librarians

What is it about?

Academic librarians must be aware of the affects of information and communication technologies on their communities since these technologies provide access to the documents and information needed by these communities. Yet, how are academic librarians affected by ICTs? This paper examines the experiences of academic librarians with ICTs and finds that their focus on service helps them to make sense of their work amidst the abundance of information and communication.
