What is it about?
There could be a general problem in that there is no common understanding of sustainability in common areas such as building, health care, education and tourism. The urgency of doing something without agreeing on what sustainability is in the context could be counterproductive. What sustainability is in the context - the right thing - could be understood based on an outside in perspective with focus on the main stakeholder needs. Understanding organisational sustainability requires understanding the mission and identifying main sustainability impacts in the entire value chain. This understanding is converted into a sustainability definition and into sustainability Key Performance Indicators. This will support working with the right thing.
