What is it about?

CEO's political activism is not always regarded as appropriate behavior by some stakeholders of corporations. This is also true with social issues. Activism could be a more sensitive issue when boards of directors of corporations are integrated by closely related members, as in the case of family corporations. In this case, individual freedoms, such as freedom of speech, might be easily restricted. When politically active CEOs publicly favor a political candidate, censure could happen. We discuss the case of a Hispanic corporation and the political involvement of its CEO.
