What is it about?

This teaching case explores the unique trajectory of a small entrepreneurial company in the countryside of Brazil that produces and exports specialty coffee. From a traditional coffee producer with no special prominence in its almost 30 years of existence, Clayton Barrossa Monteiro turned Fazenda Ninho da Águia into an award-winning, gourmet organic coffee company of international renown. The case is originally designed for the disciplines of international business and international strategy at the graduate level and explores entrepreneurship and effectuation theory.
