What is it about?

The police, local authority and community members work together in the UK to make communities safe. This research investigates the informal tripart relationship between the state, neighbourhood police and community groups in a neighbourhood in the Midlands, UK to discover that community members are committed partnership workers who require the state to visibly, and demonstrably engage with addressing local community issues. The police were regarded more highly than the local authority in connecting in meaningful ways with community members to positively reform the locality.
