Implementation of augmented reality and mixed reality applications for smart facilities management: a systematic review

What is it about?

Through a systematic literature review, the applications and evolution of Augmented Reality (AR) and Mixed Reality (MR) technologies in Facilities Management (FM) are presented in this paper. The evolution shows that the technology is out of its infancy stage and is ready for implementation, however, many challenges exist, which are discussed in the paper. Finally, a preliminary framework is presented for its implementation in FM.
