What is it about?

High-skilled workers with high qualifications and rich work experience in developing countries are often attracted to migrate to developed nations to fill the skill shortages. However, once entering the host destination, these migrants, especially the non-English-speaking background (NESB) skilled migrants (SMs), often face multiple barriers and find it hard to join a host organisation with a job aligned with their skills and qualifications. This paper reviews the literature to explore the reasons behind this situation and the role of organisations in attracting and facilitating the labour market entry of NESB SMs.
