The practice of proactive traffic stops

What is it about?

Traffic enforcement is the most common type of proactive activity police officers engage in on a daily basis. Our findings suggest that officers are most likely to enforce traffic at places with concentrated traffic accidents, but less so at places with concentrated crime and serious crime problems.
