What is it about?
Reading lists are common throughout Higher Education in the UK. However the language used to organise them has been overlooked. This article looks at how academics (faculty members) perceive the common reading list labels.

It was really interesting to look at how academics view labels differently. It helps to highlight why we need to discuss reading with students to explain what our expectations are and what the value is in reading for your course. You might find the article useful in helping you to provide an argument for clarifying and promoting a common reading list strategy.
