What is it about?
Managing crowded places is challenging. We report on the use of a crowd safety management tool for places of public assembly and major events.

Why is it important?
The impact of this work is huge - an overall annual impact on 1.6 billion people who subsequently attended the venues mentioned. We show how a simple but powerful model (DIM-ICE) can be used to aid strategic planning at major events, assess potential crowd risks and to avoid potential crowd safety issues.
Perspectives
In an easy to read paper we have shared the decade long development of the DIM-ICE model - using some really interesting case studies.
