What is it about?

This paper looks at whether a Green Premium is paid for environmentally sustainable buildings in the United Arab Emirates. A survey of internationally-certified real estate valuers and brokers working in the country was conducted to provide insightful and original research. The responses have been analysed to identify the incentives and barriers for sustainable developments perceived by real estate professionals perceive through their everyday work in the United Arab Emirates. In light of the results, this paper concludes with policy recommendations that local authorities may wish to consider in transforming to a more sustainable economy.
