What is it about?
Despite evidence-based Human Resource Management (EBHRM) gains more importance in governmental institutions, it still lacks a clear and research-driven conceptualisation (Marler and Fisher, 2013). In this study, we have established a fundamental clarifying concept and structure of evidence-based HRM by using a systematic literature review.

Why is it important?
We define a clear and comprehensive conceptualisation of Evidence-based HRM based on a systematic literature review. We accentuate two extra dimensions that are pivotal concerning this management strategy. One is about how skills can be improved and which methods are relevant to enhance an evidence-based approach in the decision-making process, and the other is about why this management strategy can add value in reducing the academic-practice gap.
