What is it about?

As electronic government services are important in the digital era, this paper identifies and examines the facilitating factors together with the underlying importance, challenges and benefits in respect of the successful implementation of G2B initiatives in the government context.

Why is it important?

It is learned that the informational, operational and transactional aspects of e-Government development have been prevailing in most e-Government contexts. However, the findings of this study conclude that providing one-stop, non-stop and customer-centric e-Government services is essential to delivering e-Government services in a transformational approach.

Perspectives

This study was carried out in a part time and systematic manner throughout the research process started from sparking research motivation, defining research objectives, developing theoretical research model and hypotheses, collecting data, analyzing and discussing the collected data, and finally, concluding the recommendations for the delivery of resilient-based public services. Although the whole research period was longer than expected, it is envisaged that this paper would engender more research agendas for e-Government / G2B services of similar nature, and additionally, would facilitate researchers gaining more insights of democratizing the overall information and public service delivery processes in the new public management domain by way of demonstrating the transformational use of the Internet.
