What is it about?
Battling Covid-19 took toll on not just physical health but also negatively impacted quality of life. Through this explanatory mixed methods research, 'Surviving Covid-19 and Beyond', we explored the multifaceted impact of Covid-19 on Quality of Life of survivors. The findings showed that Covid -19 doesn’t end with just physical recovery, but also causes the psychological trauma. The transition from being Covid-19 positive to survivor was not easy. Majority of them experienced social exclusion. Uncertain prognosis and fear of death was perceived as end of their world. Though scarred, the survivors have thrived with their spiritual believes, and positive frame of mind. The research report provides important insight on the need of integration of health care with social care, and multidisciplinary approach in research, assessment and treatment to combat such crisis.
