Ranking the antecedents of workplace deviance using an Analytic hierarchy process approach
What is it about?
This paper first and foremost identifies various antecedents of workplace deviance through systematic literature review. Following this, these antecedents were classified into three broad categories namely individual, interpersonal/ group, and organizational level factors. lastly, by utilizing the AHP approach, the broad category as well as the sub category antecedents were classified in the order of their impact ob workplace deviance exhibited by employees in the organizations.
Why is it important?
Most of the studies on workplace deviance have identified various antecedents. however, an integrated picture of which variable contributes more towards engaging in deviant behavior is lacking. To fill this dearth in the literature, the current study ranks those antecedents in the order of their impact on workplace deviance.
