What is it about?

This study looked at how people feel about using ChatGPT to help plan their travel. It found that people are more likely to use ChatGPT if they enjoy using it and think it’s convenient. The quality of the information it gives also plays a big role in whether people find it helpful and fun to use. While some people are naturally more open to trying new technologies, that didn’t always make a big difference here. Interestingly, whether ChatGPT fits well with someone’s travel style or habits didn’t strongly affect their decision to use it—suggesting that its useful features are more important. These results help us understand what makes AI tools like ChatGPT appealing for travelers and how such tools could shape the future of trip planning.
