What is it about?

It is well recognized that online reviews are biased, but are they biased the same way across the "Great Firewall" of China? Using data from four major online review websites that host 90% of China's online reviews and offline review data from onsite surveys, we show for the first time how online review biases within the unique online ecosystem of China were jointly shaped by users, platforms, and culture.
