What is it about?
Concrete mixers are widely acknowledged and present in every construction yard. However, even this largely diffused device still needs design optimizations in order to accomplish the evolving market requirements. This paper shows a particular application of engineering systematic design approaches, applied to the redesign of the gearbox of small concrete mixers. A new cycloidal gearbox has been developed and designed up the embodiment stage, allowing the company's staff to engage an important innovation path for their products.
