Understanding the complexities of non-familial child abductions: a systematic literature review on the behavioural characteristics of acquaintance and stranger abductors

What is it about?

A comprehensive search for child abduction literature identified 16 studies eligible for data extraction.Differences in typical offending styles between acquaintance and stranger abductors were identified. Also, major victim injury was more likely in acquaintance abduction than stranger abduction despite strangers using physical objects as weapons.
