What is it about?

Every nation considers its heritage as its identity, and they are putting considerable efforts to preserve and protect their centuries-old rich heritage Thus, the preservation of historical structures is of utmost importance with the objective of safeguarding national cultural identity. The present paper will provide a detailed review of these programs and policies and will understand these policies with respect to an ancient Jain Temple located at village Subaiee, in Koraput District of Odisha. The researchers also documented the temple and sculptures' present condition, their history, and their relevance in the religious history of the region. The field survey results reveal a collective acknowledgment of monuments' crucial role in preserving cultural heritage, with 80% expressing this sentiment. Tourists exhibit heightened concern for preservation and a desire for public education, while local residents harbor reservations due to potential impacts on traditional practices. Thus, the research article not only highlights the importance of this ancient temple complex but it’s an appeal to the nation for the identification and restoration of this tangible heritage so that this heritage will be preserved for generations to come.
